Outside of the world of Town Planning and Surveying, Robert regularly preaches particularly within the Free Churches. Robert regularly lectures on a range of subjects relating to Town Planning and Economics, the Church Movement and the advancement of social change. He is also a passionate Alvis aficionado and has covered in excess of 200,000 miles in his Alvii. Currently he is driving a 1967 TF.

Outside of property Dan enjoys a wide range of sporting activities including (in no particular order) snowboarding, cycling, skateboarding, and long distance running. Dan lives in Crowborough with his young family and can often be found gardening and monitoring aircraft noise.
